Domaine Labet is one of the benchmark estates of the southern Jura, run by siblings Julien, Romain and Charline Labet from their home in Rotalier. Farming organically and working across dozens of tiny parcels, their approach is thoughtful and remarkably site-driven, producing wines of purity, energy and distinctive Jura character.
Sur Charrière comes from old-vine Poulsard, with the oldest plantings dating back to 1969. Delicate cherry, cranberry and rhubarb are layered with blood orange, dried flowers, subtle spice and a gentle earthy character. The palate is light, pure and beautifully lifted, with fine tannins and bright acidity carrying the wine through a long, savoury finish. Ethereal yet full of personality, it’s a wonderfully expressive example of Jura Poulsard.
