Billabong Girls 403 Teen Salty Dayz Steamer Wetsuit is a top-of-the-line surfing wetsuit boasting thermal furnace lining, great stretch and a dislocating chest-zip enclosure. Few brands spend as much time considering girl's surfing wetsuits as Billabong and in recent years this has become obvious with their range expanding in both styles and reputation.
Billabong Girls 403 Teen Salty Dayz Steamer Wetsuit is a part of Billabong's Surf Capsule range which offers standout designs that are very eye-catching, almost to the point where we forget about the qualities of the suit itself. But don't be mistaken as this is a seriously high-performance steamer, backed by 40+ years of wetsuit manufacturing.
The Salty Days steamer combines premium features such as internal super flex neo taped seams, chest zip and carbon graphene lining to ensure you're not only going to be warm but you'll have plenty of paddle freedom. The more flexible a suit the easier it is for you to paddle and the longer your sessions.
To get the most out of your Billabong Girls 403 Teen Salty Dayz Steamer Wetsuit we recommend washing it with Wetsuit Wash and reading our maintenance guide. At 4/3mm this wetsuit is ideal for conditions further south.
Billabong Girls 403 Teen Salty Dayz Steamer Wetsuit Features:
- 4/3mm Variable Thickness: By laying 3mm Neoprene in the 'paddle zones' and 3mm in the non-stretch zones Billabong has optimised the warmth/stretch relationship. The warmer your abdomen the less work your body is doing to retain warmth.
- Dislocating Chest Zip Entry: Chest zips are really the cream of the cake when it comes to wettie zippers, and a dislocating design helps to prevent zipper failure. More stretch and less cold-water flushing are a must-have in any decent surfing wetsuit but you can learn more on our blog.
- Furnace Graphene Lining: Billabong's premium internal lining is laid around your core, featured all the way up to their $600+ wetsuits. Furnace lining is made from a thin layer of hydrophobic Carbon Graphene and is stitched in a way that creates countless air bubbles in the lining, in turn improving thermal retention! It dries quickly too.
- Thermo Silk Lining: Layering of thermo silk lining in the arms and legs might not change the suit thermal retention that much, but it sure will make getting your wetsuit on and off a lot faster.
- Super Light Foam: Lightweight, flexible and has great thermal retention. A Super Flex external jersey permits a large range of unimpeded movement, complimented by the Super Flex internally taped seams.
- Glued and Blind Stitched Seams [GBS]: A blind stitch is used to avoid creating pin-holes in which water can enter the suit, this is done by using a hooked needle that penetrates around 40-60% of the material depth. The non-stitched portion is then sealed with an elastic glue that not only greatly improves durability but creates an additional level of the seal. Read our blog on wetsuit seams.
- Internal Super Flex Neo Taped Seams: Billabong have reinforced their Blind-stitch with flexible taping along the seams, this not only adds to durability but creates another level of sealing between your warm body and the cold water outside. Watch our video on wetsuit seams.
- Welded Impact-Seams: Additional seam durability is achieved by glueing a stretchy tape to the inside of the seams.
- High-Strain zone reinforcement: Extra reinforcement at key high-stress areas - a crucial feature in terms of durability.
-
Seamless Back Panel: This comes as a benefit of the comp chest zip entry system, placing the zipper where the neoprene naturally doesn't need to stretch nearly as much. This keeps the neoprene on the back as a continuous piece that can stretch to match your movement in the water.
- Knee-panel reinforcement
