Reef Encounter Highlights:

• The latest snorkelling and scuba diving equipment (wetsuits are a small additional charge).
• Glass bottom boat tour upon request.
• On the voyage to Reef Encounter, you will have the option to listen to an informative Marine Biology presentation about the coral reef and marine animals. A barbeque buffet breakfast is served on the outbound voyage.
• On your return voyage back to Cairns, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and a cheese and fruit platter.
• Free luggage storage facility available at their offices in Cairns City.
• Daily transfers to the Reef Encounter are operated by sister vessel Reef Experience allowing daily departures.
• Helicopter Transfers are available as upgrades.
• Scenic Great Barrier Reef helicopter transfers to or from your liveaboard tour are an optional extra.

Flying after Scuba Diving - Plan your travel itinerary:

On the final day of your Reef Encounter stay, your last dive will be completed by 1pm. Do not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after scuba diving for a single no decompression scuba dive. You should not fly for 24 hours after your last scuba dive on multiple dives. If skydiving or hot air ballooning, you must wait 24 hours after your dive. We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible.

• 07:30: Board the transfer vessel ‘Reef Experience’ at Cairns Marlin Marina
• 09:30: Arrive onboard Reef Encounter - during the onboard briefing you will be asked to pay the Reef Fee ($45.00) direct to Reef Encounter.
• 10:30: Snorkel session for all guests before lunch
• 12:00: Lunch
• 13:00: Dive briefings
• 13:30: First scuba dive
• 15:00: Reef Encounter moves location
• 15:30: Second scuba dive
• 18:00: Dinner
• 18:45: Night dive briefings
• 19:00: Night dive

Day 2

• 06:00: Wake up call for early morning dive/snorkel
• 06:30: Sunrise scuba dive
• 07:30: Breakfast
• 08:00: Reef Encounter moves location
• 08:30: Scuba dive/snorkel
• 10:30: Scuba dive/snorkel
• 12:00: Lunch time
