If you're looking to kit out your grom with some quality neoprene for the cooler months, the combination of performance factors and an affordable price makes the O'Neill Boy's Reactor 2 3/2mm Back Zip Steamer Wetsuit the perfect one for you.

O'Neill's 'Fluidflex' neoprene seems like it's custom-made for use by junior surfers with a durable finish that's resistant to wear and tear from velcro pulls and general day-to-day scuffs, but gives performance-Esque stretch. That means efficient paddling in a wetsuit that's intended to last.

O'Neill has also opted for flatlock stitching in their reactor line, as a way to bolster the durability factor. Although this style is less effective than say a GBS seam at water sealing, you can expect multiple seasons from it when cared for correctly thanks to the way the stitching loops interlock.

If you're intending on making your Boy's Reactor Steamer last, we recommend washing it with Wetsuit Wash & reading our maintenance guide.

O'Neill Boy's Reactor 2 3/2mm Back Zip Steamer Wetsuit Features:

  • Ultraflex/Fluidfoam Neoprene: O'Neill's most durable neoprene won't let you down because it's too busy making your core temps go up. Get learned at our Neoprene Blog
  • FlatLoc Seams: Flatlock seams are synonymous with wetsuits as they're durable and don't rub like their over-locked compatriots. Sounds like the perfect seam but because the sewing process creates pin-holes the seam is known to let cold water in. Intrigued? Check out our wetsuit seams blog
  • Back Zip Entry: Backzips have made a resurgence in recent years as the wetsuit world realises that not everyone is a contortionist. Read our exposé vlog on wetsuit entry systems
  • Smart Seams: O'Neill's immense experience as a wetsuit company (Jack Oneill is touted to be the inventor of the modern wetsuit) allows them to draw on decades of anatomical research. All of this creates a range of wetsuits that minimises the overall length of seam and ensures they're in low-strain zones - this isn't just true in their $700 suits but is a part of their entire wetsuit range.
  • Long Sleeves: Long sleeves help to keep your child protected from sunburn.
  • Double Super Seal Collar
  • Hidden Key Pocket
  • 3/2mm thickness
