If you want to create your own junction boxes or patch bays, use this jack for general use. 

It is TRS or TS (stereo or mono) capable and is switching (when no cable plugged in, signal can be sent to the opposite contacts).  When a cable is plugged in, the contacts are disengaged! 

1pc = 2x plastic washers, 1x beveled washer, 1x chrome ferule and 1x TRS jack.
